At Naked Canvas, we offer a truly 21st Century feature – putting your DNA on canvas. No, this doesn’t involve you spitting on your new canvas when it arrives on your doorstep! We can have your DNA mapped and converted into the image on the canvas!

As you may know, the DNA double helix looks like a ladder-like strand that spirals around itself – it is your unique double helix, and it’s unique appearance that we can have converted to an image on your canvas.

Whether you choose a particular style or effect to apply to your DNA image, or whether you want to mix it with another image – it’s up to you.

How much does it cost?
DNA Canvases start at $311 for an 18" x 12" canvas. You can have more than one person's DNA on the canvas; you and a significant other, or the whole family. You select these options when you place an order.

What's the ordering process? • Place an order like you would any other canvas. Select "DNA Canvas" • Choose your style, colour, size • We send you a DNA collection kit in the mail • Follow the instructions to taking a mouth swab • Send it back to us via the postage paid envelope • We process your DNA and convert into a digital image • We destroy your DNA sample • We prepare your DNA image the way you want it, print, laminate, frame • We send your canvas direct to your door

If you want to make a montage (collage) of several different image on the one canvas, we can do that for you!

The images in the montage can have their borders blended into each other, or have coloured borders separating each picture, or any other way you can imagine – the choice is up to you.

How much does it cost?
The montage costs $5 per image, so if you want 5 images in your canvas montage, that will cost $25 on top of any other canvas costs.

To order a montage, use any one of your montage images as part of the SmartUploader process so that you can see the various border wrapping types, but enter the number of montage images in the initial stages of the order. You can send us any remaining image files through our contact form. Then once we’ve received your other images and read your instructions we’ll make a proof available online where we’ve allowed for two minor revisions of the montage at the proof stage – such as changing image positioning, shifting things up, etc.

Beyond that, we charge a reasonable graphic designer rate of $60 an hour to make any number of other changes you may want.

One of the great extras we offer at Naked Canvas is photopaint. This means we digitally paint over the image you supply us so when printed, your canvas will look like a painted work of art.

Perhaps you want it dabbled, or with brush strokes, or in the style of Picasso? The service is not an automatic Photoshop filter, a trained graphic designer will manually ‘paint’ your image to your specifications.

How much does it cost?
The service costs $80 and once done, you can view the proof online. You can make as many further changes as you like where the reasonable industry rate of $60 per hour will be applicable.
